Quanzar, the typical dwarven wizard
Quanzar started out like the typical dwarf, his teddy was an axe. His parents did everything right, they taught him all about stone and gems, prepared him to be a productive member of dwarven society, working in the mines. However Quanzar’s body never quite measured up to their expectations, and his mind kept getting in the way. After years of forcing him to work in the mines, and begging the foremen to put up with his slow output, his parents finally gave up.
They took Quanzar to Diamond Lake where a dwarven wizard lived. The wizard was only accepted because he could enchant weapons and armor increasing the value. Since this was the first time anyone had asked the wizard to be his apprentice, Quanzar was immediately accepted. Unfortunately, it wasn't long before Quanzar realized that his “master” was barely a wizard. He knew enough to enchant the weapons, armor, and a few general spells, but had no ambition to learn anything more.
Quanzar was beginning to feel as trapped and bored as he did in the mines when Dükrag Äggenstock came to town. They became fast friends and it gave Quanzar hope again. He was determined to leave town with Dükrag and not come back.
